I thought it would be fun to show the tools I use to make my Monster everyday, and yes I listen to a lot of podcasts while working in my art room. Doug Loves Movies is one of my favorite one's as well as Comedy Death-Ray radio, and This American Life.

Here are last weeks Monsters for my Monster365 project.

Over the weekend the guys and I rented a little cottage on Orcas Island. This was the most relaxing weekend I've had in a long time. My favorite part was reading by the fire, it was super cozy! It was just enough time to re-charge and be ready to jump back into a new week.

I'm going on a little trip this weekend starting tomorrow, so I thought I would do my Sketchbook Friday post a little early.

Today I got a special package in the mail from my friend. Inside was the children's book she wrote, and which I did the illustrations for. The book is great, it focuses on teaching children to count in a fun way, by counting fireflies! This is the first book I've illustrated. I learned a lot while working on it and I am looking forward to improving my skills as an illustrator. I'm  currently working on another book for her as well.

Here are last weeks Monsters for my Monster365 project.

This drawing is from a game I like to play at bars, each person takes turns adding something to the picture. This is the first time we each had our own color pen. I like how it turned out.

This stamp is possibly going to be used on the front cover of a zine I plan on putting together as part of my pattern balloon series.
