here's a new watercolor painting, i must have spring on the brain. i'm very excited for the magnolia trees in the backyard to bloom.

for the pink/diamonds banner i used a book of paper that my fiance's mom gave to me, the paper itself has little tiny hearts on it (so cute). for the cloud banner i used a trader joe's bag, i love the color and texture of paper grocery bags. on both banners i used paint pen's (sakura permapaque and elmer's painters) to draw the designs.

over the weekend we had a Godfather marathon, we watched all three movies in the course of one day. now i've seen all of the movies before so i thought this would be a good way to get some sketching time in while loafing around on the couch, said loafing amounted to 9.5 hours. that's a lot of time to draw! so before the first movie started i grabbed my sketchbook and pencil bag, nestled onto the couch opened my sketchbook and... stared at the t.v. for 9.5 hours.
